Using Synthetic Biology to Solve Global Challenges
The University of Maryland’s International Genetically Engineered Machine, or UMaryland iGEM team is an interdisciplinary undergraduate research group. We aim to develop novel synthetic biology solutions to global issues, and create devices that improve ease and access to research.
This year, the team of 12 undergraduates will compete against over three hundred universities from all over the world at the International Jamboree from October 31st - November 4th, 2019 in Boston, Massachusetts.
